    The Fuel Bar is a destination for delicious food that is healthy, fresh and transparent. We source local and organic ingredients and commit to creating experiences where our passion for food and purpose come together.

    We want to make an impact where we cultivate real food and relationships. Great food can only come from great ingredients.

    Our passion is to change the way people eat on the go. At the Fuel Bar we do healthier with a commitment to flavour serving quality food at great price points. As a holistic nutritionist I have the privilege of being witness to the stories behind the curtain. The biggest piece of the puzzle missing in people's lives is health and vitality, and energy, which encompasses physical, mental and emotional wealth.

  • Nutrition Importance

    We're moving at high speeds and taking care of everything and everyone except ourselves. Our bodies are really resilient, and take a lot of abuse, however they eventually deteriorate and break down if we don't fuel them properly. It starts and ends with good nutrition. Your body craves good food. You just have to retrain it.

    The formula for sustaining a healthy human and sustainable energy is quite simple. It just requires moving out the bad stuff and putting in the good stuff. The Fuel Bar will help you with the good stuff.

    People abandon the simple principles of self care. The care and feeding of our human bodies and souls is not even a part of our education or values or even our daily planning. At the Fuel Bar we're looking out for the well being of the customer, our employees and communities. The food industry is evolving and there is an increasing demand for healthier alternatives to the traditional fast food industry.

  • What should I eliminate from my diet?

    Purge high fructose syrup from the pantry! The average 20 ounce soda contains 15 teaspoons of sugar, all of it high fructose corn syrup. When you eat sugar in those doses, it becomes toxic. As part of the chemical process used to make HFCS, the glucose and fructose become separated, allowing the fructose to mainline directly to your liver. "Fatty Liver" leads to obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart attacks, and cancer.

  • How do I find the time to prepare healthy meals?

    Eating healthy does require some attention, some planning and organization. It requires building habits into your daily routine that make these changes automatic, but once you do, you'll find you are thriving rather than surviving. Truth is, once you touch on a new way of living, and you experience the benefits, you don't go back.

  • Where and how do we begin healthy eating?

    Make the decision. Educate yourself. Especially when reading labels, watch for hidden ingredients. Create better habits. (home cooked meals, healthy breakfast with some protein, bringing lunch to work, mindful eating, eliminate night time eating, get the kids involved) Mom and Dad set the example, eat the talk. We're going to have a generation of kids who don't know their way around the kitchen. Let them help, makes them feel proud like they've accomplished something, quality time with mom and dad.

  • What do we eat for optimal health and energy?

    Simplicity is the key. Ditch the processed, high refined foods, replace with whole, live, natural foods. (fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, eggs, lean animal protein) Organic foods where possible to reduce the toxic chemical load. Add quality protein to each meal, for growth and repair. It also takes longer to digest, keeps you feeling full. Smaller, more frequent meals regulates blood sugar. Add fibre! It prevents weight gain, and chronic diseases of aging.

  • What makes the Fuel Bar different?

    First, we don't really consider ourselves a "health food place". Food should always be flavourful and delicious, and it should also sustain life. We like to blend the two together for great tasting food that's packed with nutrients. From our blended smoothies, to our batch-recipe chili, we put flavour into everything we do.
